Brezovica is a popular mountain tourist
resort on the northwest slope of Mt. Shar
- a ski-resort center at an altitude of 900
to 2,500 meters. This lift takes you to
Hotel Molika, at an alt. of 1,750 meters.

Brezovica is situated in Sterpce municipality,
southwestern Kosovo. After the war in
1998-99, Sterpce is one of the few places
there Serbs and Albanians lives side by side.

There are three well-known Hotels in
Brezovica: Molika (photo) is the most
popular one at the moment. The others are:
four star hotel of Narcis and Hotel Breza,
now a military base for Ukrainian KFOR.

For two seasons after the war, Brezovica
has had no visitors. But this year tourists are
coming from all over Kosovo, including
members of int. organizations.
The ski resort boasts 14 pistes.

Back in "Sarajevo 1984", Brezovica was
chosen as the alternate site for the Olympic
downhill race.
I haven't been here since 1987.
