Background
There
are naturally various and diverse reasons or factors that have played a part
in shaping who I am and what I stand for. I
think that the most important is the times we live in – the life I
lead in the Norwegian society, my origins from Kosovo, my age
(born in 1973) and
the experiences I acquired. What follow are my family situation, bachelor and master degree studies in human rights, political
science and democratization, and working in recent years for various human rights organizations
such as: Norwegian Refugee Council (information officer), Norwegian Helsinki
Committee (advisor), and the Norwegian Organization for Asylum Seekers - NOAS
(Chief of Department).
I
worked also as a part time scientific assistant at the University College of Buskerud
(2002-2004). (I did work in other domains ranging from gardening just after I
arrived in Norway in 1992 to computing consultant at the Post Office in 1999)...
What
I Do Now
I
live in Drammen nearby Oslo and I work as Chief of Department at the Norwegian
Organization for Asylum Seekers (NOAS).
I'm also a board member of Amnesty International
Norway...
My
homepage
The
original idea of having a homepage was to be able to collect the links I
utilise the most in one place and turn to it as a starting point for
surfing on the internet.
With time I gathered
information that can be interesting to others. In the last year I
started to put out pictures taken from my travels. These are arranged in
the form of mini galleries,
each of which contains 6 pictures...
I
suppose that is all I can tell you about myself and my homepage in these few
lines. For
further information, please e-mail
me...
